...the fact that my daughters haven't spoken to me in a year and a half (non-dub related).. i have "sponsored" two young women from columbia and the honduras.

I'm glad your Father's stinginess didn't rub off on you! I think it's fantastic. And if you *are* getting scammed, at least your heart is in the right place! Amazing how one's station can change so drastically within a short year. It *is* about you, kind of. But mostly it's about *you* and some young folks that are eating, being clothed, and getting medical attention from your generosity. Like Martha Stewart says "it's a good thing!"

i recieved another letter from ray franz and it was in type but it didnt have the same personal feeling like the letters i had recieved before.
his health must be getting worse.
...brother franz had told me to keep strong and continue to do what was good to my children and dear friends as he survive his turmoil so i too i will survive.

today i had an episode of dissociation, the feeling of being totally disconnected from everything and everyone.
as if all of a sudden i knew no one or wasnt connected to anyone.

I get "those things" sometimes, too, and I've been out a long time. I think it's related to anxiety. It's not a full blown panic attack, but a shift in your mood with anxious overtones. It takes awhile to get over, yes. It's creepy when it first happens to you, but thankfully it passes after a short while of time. Sometimes, we get caught up thinking about things that make us anxious, and then we think of something else. But after awhile, these little bits of thinking of the old days catch up with us and cause this mood exchange. It's almost surreal. I don't know if that exactly explains what you had, but that's how I feel every now and then. Like I'm living in a dream world, and back to those old feelings. Yuk! Anyway, glad to hear it didn't last long!

it's october 2nd and we've got snow!!!!
our power was out for about an hour this morning... it's still out in the area...their sending the kids home from school, but we've got power back on here in town... .

Well-liked, but most figured I was still a "fringie." Daughter of a strong pioneer Mother. Made all the meetings, field service, etc. but asked too many questions. I was reckless and happy-go-lucky, and any "mistakes" I made were overlooked because, well, I wasn't baptized and no one took me seriously anyway. I kind of liked it like that, because when I came of age I was out of there faster than a bobcat on a turkey tail and no one was, frankly, surprised.

the word has spread to my family that i questioned my sister and the elders came to my home..several of my aunts had called already and my one uncle from georgtown ca....they being so very concerned on my spirtitual wellbeing have forgotten that i have questions on why the organization does what it does.
i finally confessed to my uncle sam that last year another m.s approached me and told me his crimes against a new sister's child while he watched them one night when she was at a get together with other brothers and sisters.
i cringed at what my uncle has said but to argue with him would have been a brick wall.
Mole: For what it's worth, your insight and attempts to help others has inspired me. I feel better after I read your posts because I think it's truly a good thing you do to understand and help the plight of the silent lambs from the inside. I am sorry you are having to go through all this, and I cannot offer any better words than those already posted here, but please know that it will, and does, get better. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, and it *does* get brighter, believe it or not! LOL! You will find that if you just keep your integrity and remain to all that is true and right, you will find your way, and you will find that all these concerns you have will just fall into place.
Alot of us have been through it. Some of us a long time ago, some just a few weeks.. but we're all on the same journey and we're all here to right each other's boats when they tip.

jacksonville, fla. - a 2-year-old girl left home alone for 2 1/2 weeks while her mother was in jail has been released from the hospital after being treated for malnutrition and dehydration, officials said wednesday .
the child, who survived by eating ketchup, mustard and dried pasta, was released late tuesday from wolfson children's hospital to the custody of the state department of children & families.
"the only thing i can tell you is that she is in good condition," hospital spokesman david foreman said.
I read later that the state was trying to find a home for her to go to for foster care. My question was: Why isn't the Father getting her?

taking into account Hamas' point of view, it is totally pointless to disassociate yourself from something that is not true or right, anyway. That is only showing them that they still have a valid lien on your life. If you don't believe something, you don't have to formally do *anything* since you can't disassociate yourself from something that you don't believe in the first place. they have no power over you. they are not your bosses.
I think alot of times, it's hard for XJW women to get over the fact that we always feel we have to be "accounting" for everything. We are taught to be subservient. We learn that we have to explain everything. To cater to our man's (or men's if you have grown sons or brothers) egos. This is not true. We are grown, adult women, and we need to find our full rights and righteousness in *that*. God didn't just make man in his image, he made women, too! So, we are *all* made in his righteousness and are half of his image. We aren't unequals, we are different, but since we are made in God's image, too, we have the other half of his "best."
But if you don't believe in God, the point still carries. Each individual person on the face of the Earth has something good to give, and that' what is important.

Incredible! We're still having temps in the mid 80's down here in Texas, and I'd about now give my eye teeth for some snow! I *love* snow, and cold weather, especially since I've been getting to be an "older gal." <grin> Course that wasn' the case when I was a "younger" gal. Those hot flashes sure could use a blizzard about now. <sighs and fans herself>

my mother told me that after i get married, she's going to give me the "family happiness" book.
i've never read the thing, but i know it's a wts publication that often gets given or mailed out to newlyweds who aren't in the troof.
what's your opinion of this "fine christian publication"?
The book is a filthy, disgusting tribute to male dominance and women's subjugation. A "must read" for any woman thinking of marrying into the faith, or any human being with a bit of empathy.
